Who knows how long shall one live! Mission of human life is to stop the cycle of repeated birth, death, old age and disease. Before death it has to be accomplished. It takes time to perfect the spiritual practices. So, scriptures say that it must be practiced from 5 years of age, if not from the mother's womb.
